This week, on 2 December, marks the anniversary of Prof. death. Lucio Cabañas Barrientos, occurred in 1974 in the Otatal, Tecpan. We must not pass unnoticed that date regardless of the opinion held about it.
For many of my people, there is nothing to thank Lucio since the era of brutal repression suffered Atoyac saw was due to Lucio. On the contrary, had to remonstrate that. For others, much less, Lucio is a hero, a revolutionary, a Mexican worth remembering and principles to emulate. In
Attoyac was taken into consideration and many mountain roads were fixed, invested resources in the State of Guerrero and generally attended the dispossessed. It was a powerful reminder. Today
poverty conditions have worsened, and an example of this are the various pawn shops in the village there. Instead of fighting poverty, increased taxes are finally affecting consumers. Lucio Cabañas is linked to the history of Atoyac. Is linked to the change process. It is an indispensable reference forthe reminder that no matter how humble one must always be a decent Mexican.
